I am most happy to know that you have started a website for Assisi Asha Deep.
I congratulate sincerely for your effort. The teaching is an art I would say teaching
mentally and other disabled children are a blessing from the almighty God. I pray that you
may be able to render this noble service with grater zeal and enthusiasm. May many people
open their site and appreciate the service you are doing for the Society.
With love and prayers,
Yours Sincerely,
Sr.Tessily Mary(Provincial)
In 2000, Assisi Sisters of Mary Immaculate started a special school for the mentally Challenged
children. It had a humble beginning with 17 children in a room in the residence of sisters.
Today we have 120 students with its own school building. “Whenever you did this for one of the
least important of these brothers of mine, you did it for me” Mt-25/40). Being inspired by these
divine words of Jesus we began to render our service to the disabled. Through our selfless service
we could give shape to the disfigured face of Jesus. The constant efforts of special teachers some
of our students are independent and become earning member of the Society. In our special school we
give ADL Training and continue with the other skills which are vital for a person to live in the
Society. Apart from this we give them Vocational Training such as office file making, book
binding, flower making, greeting cards making etc... and make them independent. Our Schools for
the mentally Challenged children stand as a ray of hope, a teacher a midst the thick darkness to
those who are distressed hopeless, and disappointed. I am grateful to God for blessing me with this
great call to serve the poor and marginalized and less privileged in the Society.
I look forward to your valuable support, help and co-operation for the development
of these differently abled children.
With sentiments of gratitude.
Yours Sincerely,
Sr.Asha Francis(ASMI)
